Name one thing you really like about yourself.

I love that I have, and continue to demonstrate great resiliency. In April 2014, I became the victim of a hit and run accident. Although there were many times that I was frustrated with my body, especially with the back pain and swollen knees, I learned to be patient with myself and work towards getting stronger. Despite my injuries, I finished my Master's program, continued my modeling career, and started my own business. By turning my experience into my platform, I was able to collaborate with State House Representative Karl Rhoads (House District 29); and also attended a workshop organized and hosted by the Hawaii State Department of Health: EMS and Injury Prevention System Branch, where I was able to record my own public service announcement (PSA). I thank God that I am still here to share my story, and hope that I can influence others to drive with respect and value for themselves and others on the road around them.

What’s the craziest thing you have ever done?

Skydiving!! I am a bit of a daredevil, so I love trying new, adventurous activities (including skydiving, shark cage diving, parasailing, horseback riding, snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge and water jetpacking). For my 19th birthday, my friends and I were able to go skydiving on the north shore of Oahu in Haleiwa, and it was one of the most exhilarating and memorable experiences of my life!

What would your dream job be?

I aspire to open my own private practice and work as a licensed child and family therapist, with certification in clinical mental health counseling. I also want to see my small business, LJ Interior Designs, flourish and become even more successful in the future.

If money and time were no object, what would you be doing right now?

Traveling. I absolutely love traveling, and got the travel bug from my dad. I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit places all over the world, including Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, England, France, Belgium, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Canada, The Bahamas, Jamaica, and various places within the United States. I have my heart set on someday traveling to New Zealand, Kenya and Greece. I even have pictures of these destinations on my dream board!
